The truth issue

I have been reading Pope Benedict’s Introduction to Christianity. I have been struck by the introduction that looks at the question of whether “belief” or “faith” is still possible in a modern age.

As usual, the Holy Father is insightful. So my take away point is simply that we need to ditch the idea of “subject” and “objective” truth. After all, isn’t all truth to some extend “subjective”?

Maybe we need to replace it with the idea that truth is created – and therefore, no truth at all – and truth that is given. This seems to fit the modern age.
